AMERICAN JOURNAL OF ROENTGENOLOGY. MR Angiography at 3 T of Peripheral Arterial Disease: A Randomized Prospective Comparison of Gadoterate Meglumine and Gadobutrol

Christian Loewe, Javier Arnaiz, Denis Krause, Luis Marti-Bonmati and Stefan Haneder, Ulrich Kramer for the DALIA study group

OBJECTIVE. This large-scale randomized study aimed to show the noninferiority in terms of diagnostic performance of gadoterate meglumine–enhanced versus gadobutrol-enhanced 3-T MR angiography (MRA) using digital subtraction angiography (DSA) as the reference standard in patients with peripheral arterial occlusive disease (PAOD).

AMERICAN JOURNAL OF ROENTGENOLOGY. Chemoembolization of Recurrent Hepatoma After Curative Resection: Prognostic Factors

Qing-Quan Zu, Sheng Liu, Chun-Gao Zhou, Zheng-Qiang Yang, Jin-Guo Xia, Lin-Bo Zhao and Hai-Bin Shi

OBJECTIVE. The long-term prognosis after hepatic resection for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has been disappointing because of the high recurrence rates in the remnant liver, which constitutes the major cause of death. The purpose of this study was to identify the prognostic factors for overall survival after transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) in recurrent HCC after the initial curative surgical resection.

AMERICAN JOURNAL OF ROENTGENOLOGY. Intraductal Cooling via a Nasobiliary Tube During Radiofrequency Ablation of Central Liver Tumors Reduces Biliary Injuries

Ely R. Felker, Stephanie A. Lee-Felker, Khobkhoon Ajwichai, Nelly Tan, David S. Lu, Francisco A. Durazo and Steven S. Raman

OBJECTIVE. The objective of our study was to determine the safety and efficacy of intraductal perfusion of chilled 5% dextrose in water (D5W) via an endoscopic nasobiliary tube (NBT) for the prevention of thermal bile duct injury in patients undergoing percutaneous radiofrequency ablation (RFA) of central liver tumors.

RADIOLOGY. Preoperative Tomosynthesis-guided Needle Localization of Mammographically and Sonographically Occult Breast Lesions

Phoebe E. Freer, MD, Bethany Niell, MD, PhD, Elizabeth A. Rafferty, MD,

Purpose: To assess the feasibility and accuracy of digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT)–guided needle localization for DBT-detected suspicious abnormalities not visualized with other modalities and to analyze the imaging and pathologic characteristics of abnormalities detected only with DBT to determine the positive predictive value for malignancy.

RADIOLOGY. Coronary In-Stent Restenosis: Assessment with Corrected Coronary Opacification Difference across Coronary Stents Measured with CT Angiography

Yang Gao, MD, Bin Lu, MD, Zhi Hui Hou, MD, Fang Fang Yu, MD, Wei Hua Yin, MD, Zhi Qiang Wang, MD, Yong Jian Wu, MD, Chao Wei Mu, MD, Felix G. Meinel, MD, Andrew D. McQuiston, BS, U. Joseph Schoepf, MD,

Purpose: To determine whether changes in coronary opacification normalized to the aorta (corrected coronary opacification [CCO]) across stents can help identify in-stent restenosis (ISR) severity with use of invasive coronary angiography as the standard of reference.
