Purpose: This study was designed to analyze the outcomes of endovascular treatment for internal iliac artery aneurysm (IIAA) at mid-term follow-up.
Purpose: The major complication occurring with biliary stents is stent occlusion, frequently seen because of tumour in-growth, epithelial hyperplasia, and sludge deposits, resulting in recurrent jaundice and cholangitis. We report a prospective study with the results of first in man percutaneous intraductal radiofrequency (RF) ablation to clear the blocked metal stents in patients with malignant biliary obstruction using a novel bipolar RF catheter.
Background: Patients with resectable hilar cholangiocarcinoma often present obstructive jaundice and a small future remnant liver (FRL) ratio. A sequential approach comprising preoperative biliary drainage followed by portal vein embolization (PVE) is usually performed but leads to long preoperative management (6–12 weeks) before patients can undergo resection. To simplify and shorten this phase of liver preparation, we developed a new preoperative approach that involves percutaneous biliary drainage and PVE during the same procedure. We report the outcomes of this combined procedure.
Purpose: To evaluate the effectiveness of proximal embolization of the gastroduodenal artery (GDA) using the Amplatzer Vascular Plug 4 (AVP 4) compared with pushable coils to avoid hepaticoenteric collaterals of the GDA stump, which may serve as pathways for nontarget embolization.
Purpose: To retrospectively evaluate the efficacy of single-session aspiration thrombectomy using large catheters without pharmacologic thrombolysis to treat acute and subacute lower extremity deep vein thrombosis (DVT).
Purpose: Contrast-enhanced ultrasound (US) has been shown to be an efficient imaging modality in guiding radiofrequency (RF) ablation of hepatocellular carcinomas (HCC). The purpose of the present study was to assess the usefulness of contrast-enhanced US in guiding RF ablation in patients with early-stage HCC that was not clearly visible on grayscale US or noncontrast computed tomography (CT).

Purpose: To report on polyethylene glycol hydrogel-based resorbable embolization microspheres (REM) that were synthesized to resorb in < 24 hours, before inflammation and vascular remodeling, to achieve a complete arterial recanalization and to compare targeting and recanalization of REM of 300–500 µm, 500–700 µm, and 700–900 µm with hand-cut gelatin sponge particles (GSP).
Purpose: To compare therapeutic effect, adverse events, and embolized hepatic artery impairment in transcatheter arterial chemoembolization between Lipiodol plus insoluble gelatin sponge particles (Gelpart) and Lipiodol plus 2-day-soluble gelatin sponge particles (2DS-GSPs).
Purpose: To determine the utility of the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) of uterine leiomyoma for prediction of the potential response to uterine artery embolization (UAE).
Purpose: To evaluate the prevalence of inferior mesenteric artery (IMA) collaterals to the uterus found during uterine artery embolization (UAE), associated risk factors, and clinical outcomes.
Purpose: To compare the incidences of symptom recurrence and permanent amenorrhea following uterine artery embolization (UAE) for symptomatic fibroid tumors in patients with type I and II utero-ovarian anastomoses (UOAs) with versus without ovarian artery embolization (OAE).
Purpose: To identify the correlation of pre- and postablation imaging features with pain relief, pain intensity, and patient mood after radiofrequency (RF) ablation of solitary painful osseous metastases.
Purpose: To prospectively evaluate the efficacy of a transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPS) alone and TIPS in association with embolotherapy (TIPS+E) in the variceal coronary vein to prevent recurrent variceal bleeding and stent dysfunction after TIPS creation.
Purpose: To identify and validate the optimal thresholds for volumetric functional MR imaging response criteria to predict overall survival after intraarterial treatment (IAT) in patients with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
