We also examined the correlation of the radiologic findings with laboratory data and clinical outcomes.

In the series of Ul Haq et al, 20 patients underwent 21 bleomycin foam embolization procedures, and six procedures involved sclerosant agents in additional to bleomycin. The authors report a per-patient complication rate of 40% (30% minor, 10% major); on a per-procedure basis, the complication rate was 29% (22% minor, 7% major). The authors state that all patients had a decrease in symptoms after treatment.
